Al-Falah Academy was founded in 2019 as a coalition of Islamic scholars, students and activists from diverse backgrounds. The Academy’s resolution is to play a substantive role in bridging the wide gaps in or society between Islamic ideals and the creeping degenerative influences bedeviling our society. With this resolve, we embarked on the work of cautious planning, constant deliberations and consultations with our indigenous Islamic scholars and leaders to deliver an effective enlightenment program for the youth and old.
Our outcome has been a very innovative approach that is strategically targeting young adults with a stake in society in order to drive change in our local communities. We have so far cemented ourselves in the position of teachers in the society and we are fully aware of the responsibilities involved and we do not take the matter lightly. Al-Falah is poised to become the most formidable advocate of adult Islamic education in Nigeria and it is copiously working to achieve that inshaAllah.
The ultimate aim at Al-falah Academy is the encouragement of the quest for truth, and goodness in a human being. We aim to bridge the incorrectly “perceived” gap between modernity and Islamic ideals by producing educated, relevant, passionate invigorated Muslims, equipping them with foundational knowledge, presented in a way that inspires, and encourages critical thought and growth.
There is a huge gap presently with regards to basic fundamental knowledge on jurisprudence, Arabic Literacy, Islamic Sciences and ultimately knowledge of the Quran and Hadith. With the young and old arduously striving for worldly pursuits at work or academia, Al-Falah aims to guide one through the challenges of life with an Islamic perspective to everything.
Our student community at Al-falah will have:
1. Completeness in work-life-spirituality balance
2. Comprehensiveness of education by adding an Islamic perspective to the conventional educational system.
3. A reference point and a home away from home where one can air out all their confusions, worries and doubts about life, philosophy, family, ethics and religion.
